There is a new sheriff in town and I am liking what new creative director, Mark McNairy is doing for this solid brand. You can go back and look up the old guard of Woolrich style and find it to look almost like LL Beans richer cousin, but McNairy, formerly of J. Press, brings a decidedly preppier design to this label and of course you know I like that.
I love these looks, they are both preppy and modern. I particularly like the traditional preppy color schemes of navy and tan mixed up with oranges, deep greens and golds.
The inspiration for this 2012 collection is classic WWII-era naval, marine, the Ivy League look and even the musical South Pacific (go figure!) I fyou lokve what you see also check out the geometric wool duffle coat, black chinos and of course the ever present canvas shoulder bag with leather accents.
